about the hostel
Hostler, a chain of hostels for backpackers, was founded by Pranav Dangi in 2014. The chain has slowly and steadily expanded to over 40 locations across India and has served more than five lakh passengers. Their motto – Rise and Go – is to enable people to plan seamless vacations at affordable prices. They have hostels in most popular tourist destinations including Bir, Agra, Jaipur, Coorg, Manali, Kasol and Goa. You can choose from an array of options for treks, quick getaways, longer expeditions, or even a worksite, depending on your tastes and travel preferences.
All about our stay in Hostel: Jodhpur
After much deliberation, we finally chose Hostel Jodhpur for our stay. Situated in the heart of the blue city, Hostel Jodhpur was indeed a great choice where it was located. It is easily accessible by a short 20-minute ride or just 2 km from Jodhpur Railway Station. Also, there were plenty of options in terms of street food and shopping.
The property has a choice of dormitories with bunk beds as well as private rooms. Hostler’s signature yellow-and-black theme was prominent throughout. A smooth and simple check-in process ensured that we did not have to wait too long for our room. We stayed in a private double deluxe room for two people.

The property had a lot of solo travelers, as the affordable housing made it ideal for backpackers. Our room itself was not luxurious, but it was quite comfortable and spacious and well equipped with all the basic necessities. The room was on the second floor accessible by stairs. Thus, it is best to use a backpack or travel light as you may have to carry your luggage across the room.
Dining and dining at Musafir: A traveler’s cafe in the hostel, Jodhpur
We hurriedly unpacked our bags and headed to the Terrace Cafe at The Hosteler Jodhpur called Musafir: A Traveler’s Cafe. As soon as we reached the terrace, the first thing that took us by surprise was the stunning view. Jodhpur’s picturesque Mehrangarh Fort is visible from the rooftop cafe, with clouds in the bright blue sky in the background and indigo houses that characterize the blue city. At night, the sight becomes even more Insta-worthy thanks to the beautifully lit fort.

The cafe has multiple levels and seating options, and the walls are decorated with some quirky frescoes. There are also several games such as foosball, Jenga and Uno as well as some books that are kept for diners to entertain themselves.

The menu at Musafir Cafe had a plethora of delicious options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. All the dishes were carefully prepared and no room was left for complaints. If you love spicy food, you will definitely enjoy it spicy food here. For breakfast, our top picks were whole vegetables, crunchy and light PohaStuffed Paneer Paratha, Filter Coffee and Lassi. a special mention for Bhaji – Full of vegetables and with a sweet sweet taste.

The dinner was also lavish and sumptuous and had a lot of variety. Our recommendations include Classic Rajasthani Dal Bati Churma, Sev Tomato, Sangri and home style chapati, lentil wick was served with uncle And papad on the side. While the lentils were simple and delicious, wick There was a charming crunch and was completely satisfying.

Just like the property, the food was also extremely budget friendly and offered absolute value for money.
Hostel, Jodhpur: Activities & Things To Do
Since the hostel, Jodhpur is located in the heart of the blue city, there is a lot you can do. Take an evening walk at Toorji ki Baori (Baori) which is just five minutes away. You can also visit Ghantaghar or Ghanta Ghar and check out the local shops there at Sardar Bazar and Tripolia Bazar.
Other popular tourist attractions are also easily accessible with an auto ride – such as Jaswant Thada, Rao Jodha Rock Park and of course, the Mehrangarh Fort. If you plan in advance, you can also indulge in the popular adventure game ‘Zip Lining’ within the stunning backdrop of the fort. There is also a sea-road to some attractive cafes, as well as the famous Umaid Bhawan. And of course, don’t forget to pack some famous sweets of Jodhpur for your loved ones!
Lastly, we would definitely recommend a visit to Hostel, Jodhpur – for nothing but the stunning views, excellent location, affordable prices and good quality food. What could be better than a memorable vacation that doesn’t burn a hole in your pocket?
