Despite the early loss, Jahan Daruwalla finished on the podium in an impressive performance

Indian racer Jahan Daruwalla made it to the podium for the fourth time this season and finished third in the Russian Grand Prix feature race. The Carlin driver was on a temporary pole at the end of the season, but was overtaken by championship leader Oscar Piastri before the end of the season. Jahan finished second, two-tenths of a second behind Piastri, who took 1:47,653. Frenchman Theo Porcharier was third, two-tenths behind Johann.

A rain-soaked weekend in Sochi meant the track was damp in parts. The inside of the track was also initially wet, which was a disadvantage for those starting from here. Jahan suffered this loss and fell to P4 when the light turned green. Once all the racers were done with their pit stops, Jehan finished fourth, 4.5 seconds behind Swiss racer Ralf Boschung.

A damp track was a challenge in the early stages, but Jahan worked hard to make it to P3

Still, Jahn put in a series of quick laps to close Boschung’s gap and caught him with about 10 laps to go. He got the opportunity soon after moving to third but immediately came under pressure from Robert Schwartzman. The Russian driver Karlin was closing in on the driver and was caught by the Indian in his D ₹. was within a second of being allowed to use

But Jahan got away by remaining calm in a very unstable situation. After a few quick laps later, the driver finished second behind race leader Piastri, followed by Porchior.

Talking about his performance, Jahan said, “It was good to be back on the podium today. After qualifying second I was confident that we had the pace to fight from the front. The inside line was a bit damp and I finished fourth. Fell on. Started but was happy to fight back and get the podium. I’m looking forward to coming back home as we have a long break until our next race in Jeddah.”

The next round F2 round will be held in Jeddah in early December as part of the opening weekend of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.
