Facebook chief executive Sheryl Sandberg asked to leave the company

Meta’s chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg said she was stepping down.

San Francisco:

Meta’s second most powerful executive Sheryl Sandberg said on Wednesday she would leave the tech giant 14 years after being hired by Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg.

Sandberg said on her Facebook page that she and Zuckerberg “grew up together” but she is stepping down as chief operating officer.
