Family of 4 found dead inside house in outer Delhi

Relatives say the couple had cordial relations, while police investigation revealed that they used to fight over petty issues

A family of four, including a three-year-old boy and a six-year-old girl, were found dead inside their house in outer Delhi’s Sirsapur village on Tuesday morning.

According to family members, the 30-year-old man and the 25-year-old woman got married six years ago and is living with the youth’s elder brother and his family in a two-room house in the village. The deceased was the youngest of four brothers in the family. Relatives said the man worked in a nearby factory, while the woman was a housewife and only her six-year-old daughter attended school.

Relatives told that the woman had left the house a few months ago and went to her maternal home due to some personal dispute. But things soon returned to normal.

Mr. Singh said, “They were living like a happy family again. I don’t know what happened at midnight and I am still shocked.” He said that it is a mystery how things turned tragic even after the couple reconciled. And they were ready to live together.

The dead bodies were first seen by Saurav, the nephew of that person. “No one came out of the room on Tuesday morning. I found that the room was locked from inside after which I peeped through the windows and saw the dead bodies,” he said.

Police officials said the man suspected his wife of having an extramarital affair and a legal dispute was going on over the custody of the children.
