Nepal registered a nine-run win over United Arab Emirates in Kirtipur on Thursday in a rain-curtailed ICC Cricket World Cup League Two match. Deciding to bat first, UAE posted 310/6 in 50 overs as Asif Khan scored an unbeaten 101 off only 42 balls. other than that, Vritya Arvind and captain Muhammad Wasim Scored 94 and 63 respectively. Later, Nepal made 269/6 in 44 overs before rain spoiled play and Rohit Paudel-LED declared winner by nine runs via DLS method. Apart from such high-scoring action, one thing that turned out to be the highlight of the day was the overwhelming enthusiasm of the fans.

Dipendra Singh took two wickets for Nepal in the match while Lalit Rajbanshi, Sompal Kami and Sandeep Lamichhane Took one wicket each. Bhim Sharkey And Arif Shaikh were the best of the batsmen as they scored 67 and 52 respectively.
Junaid Siddiqui took three wickets and Ayan Afzal Khan took two wickets for UAE.
Talking about the tournament, it was the last World Cup League Two match as Scotland and Oman are the top two teams that have qualified for the 2023 ODI World Cup.
