In an intimate ceremony, actors Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar exchanged vows and sealed their love forever. Adorned in the colors of love, Shibani Dandekar’s wedding outfit was custom made by JADE by Monica and Karishma. The corset and skirt were made entirely from Chantilly lace with micro bead work, in her signature vermilion red palette. The red veil she wore during the ceremony complemented the sweetheart-shaped neckline and figure-hugging silhouette.
Leaving her hair loose, Shibani accessorised with a pair of ruby danglers designed by Goenka India. The gorgeous earrings were made of 218-carat rubies, with 550 brilliant cut white diamonds and rose-cut diamonds in a modern fine setting crafted in 18 kt gold. Ahead of the wedding ceremony, Shibani posted a picture of red aquazzura heels paired with a sparkly heart-shaped chain on Instagram. she wrote: let’s do this (sic)
Standing beside his beautiful bride, Farhan Akhtar looked stunning in a black tuxedo and completed his look with cool sunglasses. The couple was later taken to the dance floor and danced to the tunes of Dil Chahta Hai sung by renowned singer-composer Shankar Mahadevan in the ceremony, set in the backdrop of colorful flowers.
Surrounded by greenery, the attendees were seen dressed in pastel colors with floral prints. Shibani’s sister Anusha Dandekar looked stunning in the lehenga set. Anusha chose a white ensemble which has multi-colour placement floral embroidery.
In addition, Hrithik Roshan, Pinky and Rakesh Roshan, Amrita Arora, Rhea Chakraborty, Saqib Salem, Ritesh Sidhwani, Ashutosh Gowariker, who attended the ceremony held at Javed Akhtar’s farmhouse in Khandala, were dressed to the nines.
Shibani opted for Payal Singhal outfit for the pre-wedding festivities. In a fun show for the upcoming bride, Shibani’s girl squad, comprising her sisters Anusha and Apeksha Dandekar and close friend actress Rhea Chakraborty, were seen performing in their colorful outfits at Mehndi Lagke Rakhna.
