The National Conference (NC) on Monday accused the Jammu and Kashmir administration of illegally detaining party president and MP Farooq Abdullah in Srinagar.
“NC strongly condemns the illegal detention of Srinagar MP and party president Dr. Farooq Abdullah. There is no justification for such arbitrary, illegal and repeated detention of the party leadership.
Party sources said that Dr. Abdullah was on his way to Jammu by road. However, the officials told him that he could not go to Jammu.
The Jammu and Kashmir government did not respond to the NC’s allegation till late Monday evening.
