Feet Me Up, a Delhi based NGO for specially-abled children, recently celebrated its annual festival to honor the talent of multifaceted children. Feet Me UP was sprouted by co-founder Dr Deepshikha Manocha, a physiotherapist, and Prashant Arora, a psychologist, with the idea of ​​making a “dependent independent”. The vision was to help specially-abled children to make a living for themselves. With this objective, Feet Me Up has completed four and a half years in this journey and marked their remarkable journey with the celebration of an annual festival.

Influential people from all over India attended this special event and walked along with these special kids who have shown immense zeal and enthusiasm. Famous influencers like Yashika Makeover, Ankita Raghav Arora, Shine Kashyap gathered to celebrate these beautiful kids and their special talent.

The highlight of the event was “Walk for the Cause” (co-sponsored by Select & You), which was designed to showcase the excellence of these kids associated with Feet Me Up. Through this special section, the aim was to create a difference in the society by showing that specially abled children can also earn their livelihood by applying their unique talents.

Children performed various acts like acrobatics, skating etc. The children also beautifully depicted the life and crucifixion of the Lord Jesus Christ through various acts and dances, thereby sharing the gospel. Every influencer took to the stage with these special kids and supported equal opportunities for all.

Prashanta Arora, Co-Founder of Feet Me Up expressed her happiness in this celebration, she said that she, along with Co-Founder Dr Deepshikha, would like to see these kids one day at par with the general population, come through with her motto Be independent.

The extraordinary talent of the children mesmerized the audience. Feet Me Up has been instrumental in training these kids and helping them achieve financial independence. The children are trained to make footwear and various accessories, giving them a platform to showcase their talent and expertise.
