Japan cannot stop winning hearts and making headlines yet again after creating history by defeating former world champions Germany in the FIFA World Cup 2022 on Wednesday (November 23). It’s hard to imagine a dressing room without cans of champagne and beer after an impressive 2-1 win, with the laundry boys given a lot of work during the celebrations. But in an extraordinary show of class, the Japanese players cleaned up the entire dressing room and displayed true team spirit.

“Following a historic win against Germany in the #FIFAWorldCup on matchday 4, Japan fans clean up their rubbish in the stadium while @jfa_samuraiblue leave their changing rooms at the Khalifa International Stadium like this. Immaculate. Domo Arigato , wrote FIFA on its official Twitter handle and posted a picture of the dressing room.

It’s hard to imagine the level of passion shown by the hard-working players during Wednesday’s FIFA World Cup victory. After taking an early lead in the competition, the Japanese team came from behind to win the competition.

“It is not just the three points that Japan has. Following their resounding victory at the #FIFAWorldCup, @jfa_samuraiblue supporters stayed behind to collect plastic bottles and help clean up the stadium. #Qatar2022 | #SaveThePlanet,” read another tweet from FIFA.

Fans also show heartwarming gesture

It was not just the players, but also the Japanese fans who showed their class by bowing out to the stadiums after a German victory. The photos, released by FIFA in another Twitter post, show why Japan is the second team everyone is supporting. It’s hard to make the case that even a German who suffered a humiliating 2-1 defeat would appreciate the opposition.
