Finally, the monsoon returned over Goa. Goa News – Times of India

Panaji : monsoon According to the forecast of the India Meteorological Department, Goa and adjoining areas have been withdrawn on Saturday (IMD) Panaji. Light Rain Or the storm may continue for a few days.
On Saturday, the withdrawal line of Southwest Monsoon was in Majli, Karwar and adjoining areas. “Due to a system in Lakshadweep, light rain or thundershowers are likely to continue for two more days,” an IMD official said.
The normal date for withdrawal of monsoon in Goa is October 14, but this year it was delayed. In 2020, the evacuation was delayed by almost a fortnight, which was extended to October 28.
The rains during October this year have been intense as the IMD recorded an average rainfall of 110 mm in the state on October 7 after very heavy rains. The second highest rainfall in 24 hours was 31.7 mm on 6 October and 12.6 mm on 16 October.
The post-monsoon total till Saturday has reached 222.7 mm, while October has recorded 61 per cent more rainfall than the normal 137.9 mm at this level.
The formation of northeasterly winds in the lower troposphere levels over the Bay of Bengal and extreme south peninsular India created favorable conditions for the withdrawal of the monsoon.
