Fire breaks out in Jamshedpur’s Baridih market, 3 shops burnt Jamshedpur News – Times of India

Jamshedpur: Fire broke out in the city Baridih Bazar below Baridih Police station area on Monday night. Three shops including a mobile store were burnt to ashes.
No one was injured in the fire after shopkeepers demolished the shutters.
Police said that six fire engines including one Tata MotorsIt took more than three hours to bring the fire under control.
Some youths of the neighborhood saw the fire on the roof of M/s. Sahoo Mobile,
Firefighters had to break the iron shutters of the shops to douse the fire.
Police said that preliminary investigation suggests that the incident took place due to a short circuit. The fire spread rapidly because the tin roofs of the shops were coated with tar, which is a flammable material.
Affected shopkeepers said that goods worth several lakhs have been damaged.
Municipal officials said an inquiry would be conducted and the culprits would be punished.
