Hyderabad: Inspector Madhulata became the first woman to head a law and order police station in Hyderabad.
Feather Women’s DayMadhulata took over as the SHO of Lalguda Police Station in the Northern Zone of Hyderabad Commissionerate in the presence of Home Minister Mahmood Ali and Police Commissioner CV Anand.
A few days back, Police Commissioner Anand had announced the posting of a woman officer to the post of law and order police station in-charge.
The latest move is the beginning of the government’s efforts to increase the number of women officers in law and order positions and Commissioner Anand said that a special screening of Telugu film Bheemala Naik has been arranged on Women’s Day especially for women police.
