FM Nirmala Sitharaman features in Forbes 100 most powerful women list

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has featured in Forbes’ annual list of powerful women – the world’s 100 most powerful women. He is ranked 37th. This is the third year in a row that he has made it to the list. She was ranked 41st last year and 34th in 2019.

Besides Sitharaman, other Indians in the list include HCL Corporation CEO Roshni Nadar Malhotra (52), Biocon executive chairman Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw (72), and Nykaa founder Falguni Nair (88).

American Business Magazine releases its list of the 100 most powerful women in the world every year.

Jeff Bezos’ ex-wife Mackenzie Scott has earned the top spot in this list. Philanthropist Mackenzie Scott ranks number one. US Vice President Kamala Harris is at number two. European Central Bank chief Christine Lagarde is in third place, followed by General Motors CEO Mary Barra. Melinda French Gates, the ex-wife of Microsoft founder Bill Gates, is at fifth place in this list.
