FM Sitharaman to visit US to attend IMF-World Bank spring meetings

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will visit the United States late Sunday night on an official visit beginning April 18, 2022.

She will participate in the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank Spring Meetings, G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting (FMCBG) meetings.

During his tour, sitharaman Will participate in bilateral meetings with several countries including Indonesia, South Korea, Sri Lanka and South Africa.

Also, the FM will hold one-on-one meetings with CEOs from Semiconductor, Energy and other priority sectors for the Government of India.

Notably, in a high-level meeting, Sitharaman will also meet World Bank President David Malpass.

In addition, Sitharaman will participate in a high-level panel discussion on “Money at a Crossroads” organized by the Managing Director of the IMF.

Apart from official meetings with the World Bank, the IMF, the G-20 and the Financial Action Task Force, Sitharaman will also attend an event at the Atlantic Council, a leading Washington DC-based think tank, and interact with faculty. Stanford University student.
