FMCG stock ₹65 . trades ex-dividend today following the announcement of the final dividend of

Shares of Procter & Gamble Hygiene & Health Care Ltd began trading ex-dividend in Friday’s trading session, ahead of the record date for its final dividend. 65 per share which it had declared in August this year for the financial year ending June 2022. The stock was trading about one percent lower. 13,917 each on the BSE in opening deals.

“We are pleased to inform you that the Board of Directors of the Company in its meeting has recommended, inter alia, that final dividend 65 per equity share (face value of Rs 10/- each) for the financial year ended June 30, 2022 of Rs. The split will be paid between November 15, 2022 to December 13, 2022 on the approval of the members on the 58th. Annual General Meeting,” the company had informed on August 23, 2022.

Meanwhile, Procter & Gamble Hygiene & Health Care Ltd reported a 29% decline in its net profit 154 crore in the first quarter ended September 2022 due to higher commodity costs and declining sales. The company, which follows July-June financial year, had reported profit after tax 218 crore in the corresponding quarter of the last financial year.

Its revenue from operations fell more than one percent 1,045 crore during the quarter under review 1,058 crore in the year-ago quarter. The company, which owns popular brands such as Vicks in Healthcare and Whisper in Feminine Care, said in its earnings statement that the fall in revenue was “due to post-COVID normalization of demand”.

We believe they will help us navigate and deliver through near-term challenges. in line with our goal of promoting balanced growth”.

Shares of Procter & Gamble Hygiene are down more than 3% in the one-year period, while FMCG stock is down more than 10% so far in 2022 (YTD).
