Food vlogger cooks, eats ‘Great White Shark’ in video; Is being investigated

Food stuff is probably one of the most viewed videos on the internet. From time to time, we come across videos in which people taste different types of foods, cook unique dishes and much more. One such video of a food blogger was not liked by people on the Internet. What else; This resulted in a police investigation against him. A Chinese influencer, who goes by the pseudonym Tizi, is being investigated after a clip of him roasting and eating a great white shark went viral, according to an AFP report. Police in the central city of Nanchong say he was seen “feasting on predatory fish”. However, the video was later deleted.

The now-deleted video shows Tizzy cracking open a two-metre-long fish and barbecuing the meat. She said (in the video), “It may sound vicious, but its flesh is actually very tender.” He was also seen cooking a fish head in a spicy broth.

Within no time the video went all over the internet, with people reacting strongly to it. One user wrote, ‘It’s shocking that an internet celebrity can eat a protected animal in broad daylight in front of millions of people! Another person said, “These uncultured attention-getters will stoop too low to attract eyeballs!”

As for the unversed, the Great White Shark is listed as a Vulnerable Species by the International Union for Conservation of Nature. The AFP report further states that these fish are listed as protected in China, and any illegal possession (of the fish) can result in imprisonment of five to 10 years.

Speaking about the incident, Tizzy told a local media that she found the fish through “legal channels”; However, the local administration claimed the statement to be “inconsistent with the facts”.
