Forced sex with pillow, misbehaved with girls: Fear of ragging in Indore MP Medical College

A group of junior students of a government medical college in Madhya Pradesh have filed a ragging complaint against their seniors. Junior MBBS students of Mahatma Gandhi Medical College in Indore accused some of their seniors of forcing them to have sex with pillows and misbehaving with their classmates. The incident is being told of the flat of MBBS senior students adjacent to the campus.

The matter came to light after students complained to the University Grants Commission’s anti-ragging helpline. Junior students called UGC Anti Ragging Helpline After being harassed by superiors. The victims alleged that the superiors forced them to perform sexual acts on pillows and then asked them to name any female batch mate and make derogatory remarks about her. They also claimed that they were forced to slap each other. The victims alleged that their mobile phones were snatched and they were forced to do sit-ups.

The UGC, taking immediate action against the senior students involved in the matter, sent the complaint to the college administration. The Anti Ragging Cell of the Medical College conducted a preliminary inquiry and found the allegations to be true. Thereafter the matter was handed over to the police for appropriate action.

An FIR has been registered against some senior students under various sections of IPC and Anti-Ragging Act 2009. The FIR was registered on July 24 under various sections of the Indian Penal Code for criminal intimidation, obscene acts and related sections of the Anti-Ragging Act 2009. ,

According to the officials of Sanyogitaganj police station, where the FIR has been registered, now the police will record the statements of the entire batch of freshers and after that the accused seniors will be identified.
