Former Australian Cricket Board chairman Alan Crompton passes away Cricket News – Times of India

Melbourne: Former President of australian cricket board and longtime administrator Alan crompton Has died at the age of 81.
Crompton served as the chairman of the Australian Cricket Board (now Cricket Australia) from 1992–1995.
A Sydney grad cricketer of repute for more than two decades, Crompton has also held various positions, including as chairman of cricket new south wales Prior to his appointment as the chief of ACB.

The CA president said: “Everyone who has worked with Allen in Cricket Australia and who have benefited from his service to cricket will be deeply saddened by his passing.” Lachlan Henderson said in a statement on Friday.
“The energy, enthusiasm and expertise that Allen brought to cricket for more than 60 years in New South Wales and Australia was remarkable and he left an outstanding legacy at all levels of the game.”
Crompton also served as tour manager for the Australian Test teams three times.
He was awarded the Order of Australia Medal and Cricket NSW and Life Membership of both Sydney University Cricket Club,
