Former Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Saturday targeted the newly formed Congress government in the state. Talking about the decisions taken by the new government in its first cabinet meeting, Basavaraj Bommai said that there is a huge difference between the announcements of the ruling party and the poll promises.

“There is a huge difference between the promises made by the Congress government and the announcements made by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah after the first cabinet. People had expected a lot of announcements and immediate implementation. Some women started traveling free in buses.” Today’s announcements have disappointed people,” Bommai told ANI after addressing a press conference here.

Earlier Chief Minister of Karnataka Siddaramaiah Said that the new cabinet has issued orders to implement the promises made by the Congress during its election campaign.

Siddaramaiah said after the first, “Five guarantees were promised in the manifesto and the implementation of those five guarantees was ordered after the first cabinet meeting. All will come into force after the next cabinet meeting, which will be called within a week.” ” Cabinet meeting at Vidhana Soudha.

Five ‘main’ guarantees All households (Griha Jyoti) are given 200 units of free electricity; 2,000 monthly assistance to the female head of each household (griha lakshmi); 10 kg rice free to each member of BPL family (Anna Bhagya); 3,000 per month for unemployed graduate youth and 1,500 for two years (Yuva Nidhi) for unemployed diploma holders (both in the age group 18-25) and free travel for women in public transport buses (Uchita Prayana).

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah also hit out at the previous Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government, calling them “useless”. He said, ‘The government which was ruling earlier was useless. They could not give us our share of taxes properly. the center has to give us 5,495 crore as per the recommendation of the Finance Commission,” he said.

The session of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly is to be held on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday next week.
