Former Pak PM Imran Khan appears in court to apologize to Judge Jeba Chaudhary – Times of India

Islamabad: Deposed Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan Appeared before a sessions court here on Friday to personally apologize to the Additional Sessions Judge zeba chaudharyThe woman judge had reportedly made threats at a public rally.
During a rally in Islamabad on August 20, Khan had threatened to register a case against top police officials, the Election Commission and political opponents for the treatment of his colleague. Shahbaz Gillwho was arrested on charges of treason.
He also objected to Judge Chaudhry, who, at the request of the Capital Territory Police, granted Gill’s two-day physical remand, saying he should “prepare himself as action will be taken against him”.
Hours after the speech, 69-year-old Khan was booked under the Anti-Terrorism Act for threatening the police, judiciary and other state institutions at his rally.
Khan and his lawyer appeared in the court of Justice Choudhary. However, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief was informed by the court’s reader, Chaudhry Yasir AyaziDawn newspaper reported that stenographer Farooq told that the judicial magistrate is on leave.
Khan then left a message for the judge along with Ayaz.
In a video shared by PTI on Twitter, he can be heard telling a court reader, “I have come to apologize to Judicial Magistrate Jeba Choudhary.”
“You have to tell Madam Jeba Chowdhury that Imran Khan had come and he wants to apologize if his words have hurt his sentiments,” he said. After this the PTI chief left the court.
