Four killed as two ultralight planes collide in Spain

Two ultralight planes collided near an airport in northeastern Spain on Sunday, regional authorities said, killing four passengers.

Catalonia’s regional government said firefighters doused the plane in a wooded area near Moia airport, north of Barcelona, ​​after being alerted by a witness who saw it lose altitude and crash Is.

“After the fire was extinguished, firefighters found two lifeless bodies inside the ultralight (aircraft),” it said in a statement.

Several hours later firefighters found a second damaged aircraft with two dead inside about 300 meters (984 ft) from the first.
