Johannesburg: Gunmen opened fire on a group of men playing dice on the corner of a street johannesburg suburbs, four of them were killed and two others were injured, police said on Sunday.

“Preliminary investigation suggests that a group of men were playing dice on the side of the road around 7:30 (1730 GMT) when they were attacked by unidentified assailants,” police said.
“Four people were declared brought dead on the spot, while two people were taken to the nearest medical care center after being shot.”
regional police chief Ilyas Mavela Called the crime scene in the southern suburb of South Africa’s economic capital “horrible”.
“They were sitting. They were attacked for no apparent reason,” he said.
An investigation has been launched and the police said that they have started looking for the culprits.
Shootings are common in South Africa, where mass violence and alcoholism account for the highest number of murders in the world.
