Free education, farm loan waiver, anti-mob lynching law: ASP(K) in manifesto

The Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) on Friday released its manifesto for the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, announcing free quality healthcare and education for all, fertilizers and seeds to farmers and waiving off all farm loans. Party President Chandrashekhar Azad shared the manifesto on social media that he will contest his first assembly election from Gorakhpur (Urban) seat against UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Upon coming to power in UP, the ASP (K) promised to fix the Minimum Support Price (MSP) on all crops and pay sugarcane farmers within 10 days. Keeping in view the inflation, it said that all toll free will be made for the passengers.

The party said that the Muslim Waqf would be freed from mafia and government control and the profits would be used for the upliftment of the community. It said that after removing the encroachments on the waqf properties, schools and universities would be built on them. The ASP(K) promised to pass an anti-mob lynching law under an independent panel of retired judges.

The political outfit, less than two years old, promised to create 80 lakh jobs in the state. It also resolved to implement reservation in contractual government jobs for class C and D and to regularize the job after 5 years of work. ASP(K) has also promised to restart all pension schemes.

All types of agricultural loans will be waived, fertilizers and seeds will be given free to all farmers. It has been said in the manifesto that a subsidy of 50 percent will also be given on the purchase of equipment used in agriculture and within 30 days of the formation of the government, agricultural markets will be set up in every village. The state will be freed from stray animals and there will be no restriction on moving animals from one animal market to another or from UP to another state. The ASP (K) said that the salary of Anganwadi, ASHA workers and mid-day meal cooks would be increased to Rs 10,000 and their jobs would be regularised.
