French citizens living in Puducherry cast their vote for the first round of French presidential election at the French Consulate General on April 10. It was a former French colony in Puducherry. Consulate General of France in Puducherry and Chennai, Lise Talbot Barre, said, “We have set up one polling station each in Chennai and Karaikal and 4 polling stations in Puducherry for French nationals residing in India to vote. We are expecting 4,568 voters who are registered in our polling list.
