Frequent outages, infra need to be upgraded to section 45, says RWA. Gurgaon News – Times of India

Gurgaon: Residents of Sector 45 are facing problems due to erratic power supply and unscheduled power cuts since last three months. He complained that there are frequent failures in single and double phases in supply, especially during the night when demand is at its peak. He alleged that despite repeated complaints, no steps have been taken by the discoms to solve the problem.
Many residents complained that their equipment got damaged due to voltage fluctuations. atul bhasina resident said, “Voltage fluctuations have become a serious cause of concern, especially during the night. Lakhs of our appliances have been damaged and fans and tube lights are also not working properly due to voltage fluctuations.” I have met South Haryana Officials of Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) several times, but I only got false assurances. We are paying tax, so why doesn’t DHBVN upgrade the transformer and ensure uninterrupted power supply.”
Puneet Pahwa, General Secretary Sector 45 RWAHe said that he has been receiving frequent complaints from residents regarding power cuts and voltage fluctuations and urged the discoms to resolve the issue immediately. “There is a need to upgrade the power infrastructure in the region. A lot of business activities are taking place in this area which is putting additional burden on the infrastructure,” he said.
A senior DHBVN official said, “The matter was recently brought to my notice by the RWA and we are working on resolving the issue. Some transformers need to be replaced and will be done within 10 days. ,
