From Biryani to Paneer: A glimpse of South actress Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan’s wedding menu

Unless you have been under rocks, you surely know about the lavish wedding of popular South actor Nayanthara and filmmaker Vignesh Shivan. This grand event has made headlines everywhere in the last few days; So much so that #wikinayanwedding started trending on Twitter. After dating for almost six years, the couple tied the knot on June 9, 2022. It was an intimate affair, in the presence of family and close friends. Later, the newly wed couple had a grand reception which was attended by the biggest names of the Indian film industry. From Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth to Thalapathy Vijay, it was indeed a star-studded guest list. We also saw Shah Rukh Khan at the reception, who is all set to collaborate with Nayanthara for the upcoming multilingual film ‘Jawaan’.

Amidst all this, we also got a glimpse of the menu of the grand reception feast. While the reception photos were kept safe, the wedding menu recently surfaced on Twitter. A fanclub page named NAYANwedsWIKKI posted a picture of the menu card, which appears to have been chosen by the couple. to keep track:

In the menu, we could see a good mix of food items from different regions of South India, especially Tamil Nadu and Kerala. We also saw a balance between non-vegetarian and vegetarian dishes, which included Jackfruit (Jackfruit) Biryani, Aviyal, Mor Kozhambu, Paneer Pattani, Chicken Chettinad Curry, Chepakezhangu Puli Kozhambu, Kai Porichathu, Sambhar Sadham, Pundu Milagu Rasam, Vegetable Raita and a Huh. and more. The dessert section had Badam Ka Halwa, Ilaneer Payasam and Ice Cream.

Earlier, Vignesh Shivan took to Instagram to share glimpses of his dream wedding and penned a heartfelt note for his wife Nayanthara. “On a scale of 10… she is Nayan and I am one. By the grace of God just married #Nayantara #WikkiNayan #WikkiNayanWedding,” the note read.
