FSIB recommends names for MD posts of Bank of Baroda, Bank of India

The Financial Services Institutions Bureau (FSIB), the headhunter for directors of state-owned banks and financial institutions, on Saturday recommended names for the posts of managing directors of Bank of Baroda and Bank of India. In a statement, FSIB said the bureau has recommended the names of Debdutt Chand for the post of MD & CEO in Bank of Baroda and Rajneesh Karnataka for MD & CEO in Bank of India.

The selection was done on the basis of interview conducted by the bureau on Saturday.

The final decision on the recommendation of the FSIB will be taken by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In November 2022, the bureau appointed K.K. Suggested the name of Satyanarayana Raju. Shri Raju is at present the Executive Director of the Bank. He is likely to be replaced by HS Ahluwalia, General Manager, Indian Bank.

FSIB is headed by former Secretary, Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Bhanu Pratap Sharma.

Other members of Headhunter are former Oriental Bank of Commerce chairman and managing director Animesh Chauhan, former RBI executive director Deepak Singhal and former ING Vysya Bank MD Shailendra Bhandari.
