Fuel price hike for second straight day; Petrol around Rs. 109/L mark in Mumbai

State-owned oil marketing companies (OMCs) on Wednesday hiked fuel rates for the second day in a row. With the new prices coming into effect, petrol and diesel prices have touched an all-time high across the country. According to the details listed on the official website of IndianOil, petrol and diesel in Delhi became costlier by 30 paise per liter and 35 paise per liter respectively. In Delhi, customers will have to pay ₹102.94 per liter for petrol and ₹91.42 per liter for diesel. In Mumbai, petrol is heading towards the 109-mark, currently priced at ₹ 108.96 per liter while diesel costs ₹ 99.17 per litre.

Petrol price in Sri Ganganagar and Anuppur above ₹ 114 per liter

Here are the petrol and diesel prices in six major metros as on October 6, 2021:

As for other metros, petrol prices in Chennai have increased by 26 paise to Rs 100.49 per liter, while diesel prices in the city have gone up by 34 paise to Rs 95.93 per litre. In Kolkata, petrol prices rose by 29 paise to Rs 103.65 per liter, while diesel prices rose by 36 paise to reach Rs 94.53 per litre. At the same time, petrol in Bangalore reached ₹ 106.52 per liter, while the price of diesel reached ₹ 97.03 per liter. Two auto fuels in Hyderabad are ₹ 107.09 per liter and ₹ 99.75 per liter respectively.

Fuel price changes are implemented every day at 6 am by the oil marketing companies of India.

Fuel prices are most expensive in Rajasthan’s Sri Ganganagar as customers will now have to pay Rs 114.92 for petrol and Rs 105.35 for diesel. Petrol in Anuppur has touched ₹114.27 per litre, while diesel has crossed ₹103 mark, retailing at ₹103.03 per litre. In Bhopal, customers will now have to pay Rs 111.45 for petrol and Rs 100.42 for diesel. In Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh, two auto fuels cost ₹113.87 per liter and ₹102.67 per litre. Petrol price in Parbhani district of Maharashtra has increased by 29 paise to Rs 111.52 per liter from Rs 111.23 per liter. Diesel, on the other hand, has currently crossed the 100 mark of ₹100.12 per litre.
