Gautam Adani helped in airlifting the mountaineer, Anurag Malu had fallen from a height of 5800 meters in Nepal

Anurag Maloo is a mountaineer and Kriti. His brother Ashish Malu has thanked Gautam Adani through Twitter. “I appreciate you beyond words for the timely airlifting. Heartfelt thanks to Gautam Adani and Adani Foundation for helping bring back Anurag Maloo,” he tweeted.

Anurag Malu, a resident of Kishangarh, Rajasthan, had met with an accident on April 17 while camping on Annapurna, the world’s 10th most historic mountain. He fell from a height of 5800 meters while descending from Camp III and went missing thereafter. Mount Annapurna is known for its inhospitable terrain.

Anurag Malu remained alive in the avalanche affected area for three days after the accident. He was rescued on 20 April. His condition was critical. So he was taken to a nearby medical camp. From here he was admitted to Manipal Hospital in Pokhara and later to Medicity Hospital in Kathmandu.

Anuragi Malu’s family had sought opinion from the foundation. The family appealed to Malu to be airlifted from Nepal to India and to bear the cost of the land application, as the family was not able to bear it.

Gautam Adani, the founder of the Adani Group and by the way, immediately acted on the appeal of the family. The given foundation then took over the right of an air ambulance and allocation for Akashvani Malu.

With the help of Adani Foundation, Anurag Maloo was airlifted and admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi for treatment.

Gautam Adani has also replied to the tweet of Ashish Malu, brother of Anurag Malu. He said the injured climber has spoken of self-devotion in helping him and his wife. Preeti is the head of the Adani Foundation.
