Tanmay Vekeria, who plays Bagga, said, “I first got the news because his son called me at 5:45 pm. After being admitted to the hospital a few months back, his condition did not improve. He has this evening. Died at 5:30.
Tanmay added, “He was a gem and was closest to me. He tried his best to work with us again but his health didn’t allow. I am deeply saddened by his passing.”
Ghanshyam Nayak aka Nattu Kaka was also very close to Dilip Joshi. In the show, he had maximum scenes with Bagga (Tanmay Vekeria) and Dilip Joshi, as he worked in Gada Electronics.
Talking about his health, the senior actor last spoke to us in the month of June where he was excited to be back on the sets, he said, “I am absolutely fine and healthy. Not such a big issue In fact the audience will get to see me tomorrow in an episode of “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah”. It is a very special episode and I hope they like my work again.”
In the same interview, he spoke about his treatment and said, “The treatment is on and I hope all is well. It is okay and I am going through the treatment and after yesterday’s episode, I have Hopefully the shooting will resume soon in Mumbai. And I get back to work. I am eagerly waiting to be back at work. I undergo chemotherapy and it happens once a month. Doctor Has told me that I can work and there is no problem. I just want to spread positivity and tell everyone that I am doing well. I am fit and fine and I can shoot. Whatever news is going on She is old and I want to tell everyone that I am fine now. I know I am going to live to be 100 and nothing will happen to me, I know that for sure. I am a positive person And life is never upset or negative. I want to work till the last breath of my life and die with my makeup on. I just want God to fulfill my wish.”
