A Ghaziabad court has sentenced four people to trial for the gang rape of a minor girl who was molested 15 years ago. In this case, the court has sentenced two women to life imprisonment for conniving with rapists.

According to the prosecution, on April 27, 2007, an Urs fair was being organized in a village under Dhaulana police station area of ​​Hapur district. Women named Pinky and Vimla took a 16-year-old girl with them on the pretext of working at a shop in the Urs fair. Late in the night, when lightning started flashing, those women were sent to fetch water by handcuffing them in an orderly manner.

Meanwhile, youths named Kaluva, Asif, Sharat and Shah Faizal caught hold of the girl and took her inside the court and forced her to lie in her mouth. After that all four gang-raped her.

When the girl’s parents caught hold of Pinky and Vimla, who pretended to meet her, and interrogated them, they told that they were given Rs 1,000 to lure the girl to the rapists.

Additional Sessions Judge Hiralal, after hearing both the sides on Monday, held Kaluva, Asif, Shashart and Shah Faizal guilty of rape and sentenced them to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 15,000 each. Apart from this, Pinky and Vimla were convicted of helping the rapists and were sentenced to imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10,000 each.

The case was heard in the court of Dalal Magistrate of Hapur. The case was later transferred to the Special Area/Scheduled Tribe Court, Ghaziabad.
