‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife’ which has picked up years after the original film franchise has booked a November 19, 2021 release date in India. The film, which will release exclusively in theaters, kicks off just a week after Marvel magnum opus ‘Eternal’ and Shahid KapoorBollywood sports film ‘Jersey’.
The film will reportedly follow a single mother and her two children who move to a small town and begin to discover their connection to the original Ghostbusters and the secret legacy left by their grandfather.
Jason Reitman’s upcoming directorial debut has a direct sequel Bill Murrayof the iconic supernatural comedy ‘Ghostbusters’ and ‘Ghostbusters II’ which was released in 1989. The films featured Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis as professors of parapsychology who hunt ghosts. Murray and Aykroyd, together Sigourney Weaver, reprising their roles for the new film. Returning members also include Annie Potts and Ernie Hudson.
‘Afterlife’ was earlier scheduled to release in theaters this July, but was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
the actors Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard and McKenna Grace are the new entrants.
