To turn Uttar Pradesh into a trillion dollar economy, the Yogi Adityanath government has launched a campaign to promote the state’s products not only at the local level, but also by establishing communication with embassies of various countries.

Exports have increased from Rs 1.21 lakh crore to Rs 1.56 lakh crore in the last five years. The government aims to take exports to Rs 2 lakh crore in the next three years.

Under the action plan to promote export of products, a committee will be constituted in every district under the chairmanship of District Magistrate to identify the products with export potential. Fifteen sectors have been identified and prioritized to strengthen the export strategy of the state,

Major sectors include electronics and electrical appliances, machines, vehicles and vehicle equipment, gems and jewellery, organic chemicals, articles made of steel and iron, apparel (including saris), furniture, leather products, sporting goods, glassware, Contains perfumes, ceramic products. and handicrafts, among others.

District level officers have been asked to make contacts around the products so that their exports get a boost. The list of activities includes exploring export potential at district level, making products competitive at all levels, providing maximum employment opportunities to people at local level with less capital and minimum risk, creation of necessary infrastructure as well as logistics. and providing financing. Apart from this, the committees will also help in resolving the problems faced by the exporters at the local level.
