Panaji: Minister of Tourism Rohan Khunte Government assistance has been assured for organizing bonderam large scale festival pied-walls subsequent years.
Khunte said that since the festival helps to preserve the culture of Goan with the display of traditional floats and delicacies, the government will extend “whatever help is needed to organize the Bondrum festival on a large scale”.
Appreciating the work of the organizers – Pided Youth Association – Khunte said that Bondram has kept the culture of Goan alive and assured to support activities that promote Goan’s culture, cuisine, music and traditions.
“From the elders of the village to the youth – everyone has tried to bring people of all religions, castes and creeds together and keep the tradition alive. This tradition should be passed on to the generations to come.”
Faldesai had earlier assured that next year Bondaram Utsav 2023 would be organized in a big way. He also expressed confidence that Khunte will support all activities to promote tourism in Diwaro.
