Gold fell by ₹ 1,130; Silver falls in ₹ 708

According to HDFC Securities, gold fell by Rs 1,130 to Rs 45,207 per 10 grams in the national capital on Friday, reflecting overnight fall in international precious metal prices, according to HDFC Securities.

The precious metal had closed at ₹46,337 per 10 grams in the previous trade.

Silver also fell by ₹708 to ₹60,183 per kg from ₹60,891 per kg in the previous trade.

In the international market, gold was trading in green at $ 1,762 an ounce and silver was flat at $ 22.95 an ounce.

Gold prices firmed up in COMEX (New York-based commodity exchange) with spot gold prices trading nearly half a percent higher at $1,762 an ounce on Friday.

HDFC Securities Senior Analyst (Commodities) Tapan Patel said, “Gold declined marginally on Friday after hitting a five-week low following strong US retail sales data.”
