Gold rose ₹269; Silver jumped ₹630

In the international market, gold remained steady at USD 1,759 an ounce and silver at USD 22.58 an ounce.

According to HDFC Securities, gold rose by Rs 269 to Rs 45,766 per 10 grams in the national capital on Tuesday amid depreciation of the rupee.

In the previous trade, the precious metal had closed at ₹45,497 per 10 grams.

Silver also rose by ₹630 to ₹59,704 per kg from ₹59,074 per kg in the previous trade.

The Indian rupee lost 32 paise to close at 74.63 against the US dollar in early trade on Tuesday.

In the international market, gold remained steady at USD 1,759 an ounce and silver at USD 22.58 an ounce.

“Spot gold was trading at $1,759 an ounce on Tuesday with a fall of half a percent in the Somex.

According to Tapan Patel, Senior Analyst (Commodities), HDFC Securities, gold prices cut past gains on a strong dollar for the day.
