Google: Over 20 Google apps to get makeovers to look good on tablets – Times of India

Google trying to improve Android Experience on devices with large displays. As top brands like Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo and Realme enter the tablet space, Google strives to provide a better experience for Android tablet users. To improve the experience Android offers on tablets and foldable devices, the tech giant introduced Android 12L earlier this year. Google apps that will get a makeover for tablets
At the event, the company confirmed that it will be updating over 20 Google apps to “look amazing on the big screen.” However, the tech giant did not unveil the long list of apps that will be updated. Some of the apps that have been confirmed to receive a visual makeover include – Youtube MusicGoogle Maps, Google Photos, play store and Google TV. To confirm this, Google has also shared a tweet.

The company also introduced a brief rundown of new tablet experiences that include – a redesigned UI for the YouTube Music app, a multi-view column view for the Messages app, and an optimized google maps ui full of information.
Third-party apps to get makeovers too
Apart from Google apps, some third-party apps like – TikTok, Facebook, Zoom and Canva are also likely to receive the update which are aimed at tablets. Google has mentioned that the company is also working to make it easier for users to find optimized apps for tablets on the Google Play Store.
