Going by the information given, the last date of application was August 26 and it has been extended by August 31. The announcement was made by the college principal Dr Rajendra Purohit, as per the reports. This month, the institution received approval to start the courses of BBA and BCA. The approval was extended to 33 other government colleges in Rajasthan.

According to principal Purohit, the applications for the courses of BBA and BCA are going to be done through the offline mode. To download the application form, the candidates can visit the official website of the institution, https://hte.rajasthan.gov.in/college/gcbikaner. After the form is filled, it is to be submitted to the Department of Commerce, between the timings 11 am and 2 pm, as per more information given.

The Government Dungar College, Bikaner, was established in the year 1873 by Maharaja Shri Dungar Singhji, who was the 20th ruler of the Bikaner state, according to the official website. It was called The Darbar School, at the time of its establishment. After Shri Dungar Singhji’s demise, the institution was renamed the Dungar Memorial College by his brother, on September 25, 1912. In 1928, the institution began its college-level education. The degree classes commenced in the year 1937 at the institution and the college was separated from the school in the same year. It was given the name Sardul School.

As per more information on the website, by 1940 the intermediate Science Faculty included the subjects of Physics and Chemistry for teaching. By 1942, the departments of degree-level science and law classes, along with post-graduate departments of Hindi, Sanskrit, English, History and Economics were introduced. In 1951, Dungar College was one of the only five post-graduate institutions in Rajasthan.
