‘Graduate’ Cat: University Student’s Pet Feline Attends Every Zoom Class With Her

Amidst thousands of students dressed in gowns and caps to a graduation ceremony at a Texas college, a strange-looking girl student caught everyone’s attention. A pet cat named Sookie had also joined the new graduates after attending online classes with her owner.

Francesca Bourdier, a University of Texas student, attended online classes at her home like millions of children during the pandemic. According to a Fox report, when Francesca was at home, she always had a hardworking classmate with her.

According to Francesca, her cat listened to every online class she attended. The fresh bachelor shared that she mostly lived inside her apartment and always found her cat by her side.
As Francesca would open her laptop to attend the lecture on Zoom, she said Sookie would eagerly listen to them. “It’s like she almost wanted to hear it, and she always sat by my laptop,” Francesca said.

When Francesca’s graduation day arrived, she accepted Suki’s dedication and thought of including her in the ceremony. “I wanted to kind of celebrate him and have him with me,” Francesca said.

She also shared pictures with her beloved bachelor on Twitter in which Saki is seen getting ready for the ceremony.

She made sure Suki looked like any other student on her graduation day and ordered a matching cap and gown. Francesca insists she wants to make her pet cat an honorary member of the University of Texas Spring 2022 class and graduate together.

Francesca said that although Suki did not receive a bachelor’s degree, she was happy to have him through every stage that led up to that day. Describing Suki as her “special bachelor”, Francesca said she was not the only one living with her pet while attending lectures during the lockdown. She stressed that many people can relate because they are confined to their homes and have pets.
