Greater Noida: Soon you can hire laborers on the app Noida News – Times of India

Greater Noida: Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority ,GNIDA) has asked a private agency to develop an app that will contain all the data related to the availability of workers in city.
Currently, workers gather in Delta 1 and 2 Sectors and Nuts, where they are hired through contractors for various tasks. When the app is developed, residents, as well as GNIDA, can directly hire laborers through it.
Not only the name of the workers, the app will also have other details like their age, address, Aadhaar number, skill and even the amount to be paid to the customer. And like some cab aggregators’ apps, each employee will have a rating based on their performance.
Officials said hiring laborers through the app would not only improve their performance but would also end the practice of bargaining by the hour. The price and name of the app are yet to be decided, but officials said it will be borne by the agency, Aadharshila. The agency is likely to make a presentation to the GNIDA team within a week.
GNIDA CEO Narendra Bhushan In-principle approval has been given for the development of the app. The final approval will depend on the submission of the agency.
“There are two Shramik Chowk in Greater Noida – Delta 1 and 2 near Roundabout and in Nat ki Madhaiya. Every day a large number of daily wage laborers come here in search of work. We have decided to prepare a database of these laborers and upload them on the app. This will help people in hiring workers without the hassle of bargaining,” said a GNIDA official.
The possibility of setting up facilities like toilets and tea stalls at Shramik Chowks has also been discussed in the GNIDA meeting. Discussions were also held on setting up a training centre.
