GreenCell Mobility launches intercity e-mobility coach NueGo – Times of India

Greencell mobility Recently launched Intercity electric mobility Coach Brand, NueGo. The brand states newgo It is India’s first intercity electric mobility bus brand with initial plans to serve 24 cities.
Greencell Mobility announced its plan to run 750 AC e-buses on major intercity routes in southern, northern and western India, covering major transit routes in over 75 cities. In this, 100 electric buses will pass through various cities of Madhya Pradesh and 200 electric buses will pass through Delhi NCR.
The company says that these buses will reduce 56,154 tonnes of CO2 emissions and create 4,125 new jobs. In the first year of operation, the company will electrify approx. 28,000 km across the country.
Greencell Mobility has already secured major state transport undertaking contracts for 900 electric buses across 25 cities in India. By transforming the shared surface transport market in India, Greencell envisions becoming the most valuable eMaaS (Electric Mobility as a Service) platform globally.

Electric bus adoption has gained traction in India and in many cities, state governments have embarked on the journey to electrify their bus-based transport system. This has been further accelerated by the Rapid Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric Vehicles in India (FAME) Phase-II scheme by the Government of India.
