Applications were invited for 10,459 posts, including 8,476 men and 1,983 women, in three categories from candidates who passed the Class 12 board exams.
Hasmukh Patel, chairman of Lokrakshak Recruitment Board, said, “A total of 11.75 lakh applications were received.”
Of these applications, 9.10 lakh were accepted, including 6.65 lakh for male candidates and 2.45 lakh for female candidates, he said, as per data available hours before the application deadline ended on Tuesday.
He said that the final number of applications may be around nine lakh as many candidates submit duplicate applications.
The recruitment process was interrupted last year due to an exam paper leak.
Last year 8.75 lakh candidates had to appear for the written test for 9,700 posts, when the exam was canceled hours before the start due to paper leaks.
Patel said that the fees from the applicants will be accepted till November 12 and after data analysis of the applicants, call letters will be issued to the candidates around November 20 for the physical examination, which will start from the first week of December and will continue. Two months.
Thereafter, the written test for the selected candidates will be conducted by the first week of March next year, he said.
“Candidates should prepare keeping this deadline in mind and should not expect any delay in the process,” he added.
