Gujarat assembly elections: AAP releases list of star campaigners

Apart from Delhi CM and Deputy CM, Punjab CMs Bhagwant Mann, Raghav Chadha and Harbhajan Singh are star campaigners in Gujarat, according to the list of 20-star campaigners released by the Aam Aadmi Party on Tuesday.

AAP’s CM candidate other than the name mentioned isudan ghadvi And party’s state president Gopal Italia is also included in the list of star campaigners.

The party aims to take on the ruling BJP in the upcoming assembly elections In Gujarat. The party has named many of its prominent leaders. The party has been working hard to gain ground in a state dominated by the BJP for decades.

Other names in the list of AAP campaigners include Alpesh Kathiria, Yuvraj Jadeja, Manoj Sorathia, Jagmal Wala, Raju Solanki, Praveen Ram, Gauri Desai, Mathur Baldania, Ajit Lokhil, Rakesh Hirapara, Baljinder Kaur, Anmol Gagan Mann.

Since Punjab is the second bastion for the party after Delhi, the party has also named Baljinder Kaur and Anmol Gagan Mann, two women ministers of the Punjab government.

Along with releasing the list of AAP’s star campaigners, the party on Tuesday released the twelfth list of seven candidates for the upcoming state assembly elections in Gujarat.

AAP had announced the CM candidate in the state on November 4. CM candidate Isudan Gadhvi is also the national joint general secretary of the party.

Before the announcement of the CM candidate, the party also sought inputs from the people through its crowdsourcing campaigns. As part of the crowdsourcing campaign, Gujaratis were given an opportunity to express their views on the number and email id shared by the party till 5 pm on November 3.

The crowdsourcing campaign, launched on October 29, is expected to help the party convener choose the party’s CM face. The party took a similar action during the Punjab elections, when it conducted a survey in which Bhagwant Mann became the popular choice of the people.

The elections will be held in two phases i.e. on December 1 and December 5. Counting of votes will take place on December 8.
