Gujarat Board Result 2022: GSHSEB may declare class 10 results by second week of June

Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary education The Board (GSHSEB) is expected to announce its class 10 or SSC exam results soon. While an official confirmation is still awaited, GSHSEB is expected to announce the tentative results by the second week of June. There is also a possibility that the board may release class 10 and class (general result) on the same date. The results will be available to the students online on the official website of Gujarat Board at gseb.org and gsebeservice.com.

It may be recalled that the GSHSEB Class 12 (Science Stream) results were declared on May 12 and the Class 10 SSC and Class 12 HSC board exams were conducted offline between March 28 and April 9. In Gujarat Board Class 12 (Science Stream). Result, a total of 72 percent students were declared passed. Those enrolled in English medium schools performed marginally better than those enrolled in Gujarati medium schools. The pass percentage was lowest in Marathi medium, followed by Hindi and Urdu.

Gujarat Board Result 2022: Passing Marks

According to the Gujarat Board, a student needs to obtain a minimum ‘D’ grade or 40 percent marks in all subjects to be declared passed in class 10 and 12 exams. Students who obtain E1 grades in a maximum of two subjects have the option of appearing in the supplementary examination and improving their marks. Students with grades lower than this have to repeat the year.

Last year, GSHSEB was forced to cancel class 10 board exams in view of the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. The board promoted all the students to the next class on the basis of an alternative method of evaluation. The evaluation process was done in two parts- internal assessment and school level examination. Out of the total marks, internal assessment carried 20 per cent weightage, while the remaining 80 marks were given on the basis of school level examination in class 9 and first examination of class 10 which had already been conducted.
