Gujarat: Charity work of policeman keeps needy children warm during winter season. Rajkot News – Times of India

Palanpur: While police personnel often find themselves on the wrong end of the stick due to the nature of their jobs, their tough exterior mostly keeps their kind and considerate heart hidden from public view.
This has been proved time and again when the selfless activities of the police helped save many lives during the pandemic induced lockdown. And his good work did not end here when another constable like him was working in Kishan Rathod DSP The Office modasa, has once again shown what it really means to start from home.
Rathod was inspired to donate when the group organized a collection to help charity for the poor. This time, he may have done the charity work himself from his purse. It all started when Rathod used to save a part of his salary every month to buy sweaters and save the lives of underprivileged children this winter.
Speaking to TOI, Rathod said, “I decided to spend a little out of my salary to serve the children. Their faces remind me of my own poverty that our family had to face and the smile I get after receiving the gift gives me immense satisfaction. I have been doing this for the last five years and after the increase in salary, I increased my contribution. This winter the number of beneficiaries has reached 50 children.
sub sp Bharat Basia Said, “Kishan Rathod has been providing public service for the last five years. He identifies needy or orphaned children and their families writing in the cold and distributes sweaters which he buys from his savings. He is the writer holding the post of constable in my office.
