Gujarat: Group of students return home from Bucharest. Ahmedabad News – Times of India

Ahmedabad : As on Sunday Gujarat The students got off the GSRTC bus, which was specially sent to Mumbai to bring them back home, tiredness on their faces. But they too heaved a sigh of relief after meeting their families. The first batch of students to fly from Bucharest Arrived in Mumbai on Saturday night in Romania.
According to state government officials, the buses include 11 from Surat, Vapi and Valsad, 21 from Vadodara, four from Anand-Nadiad, seven from Ahmedabad and eight from Rajkot and adjoining districts. Most of the students were from the Bukovinian State Medical University in Chernivtsi Oblast.
Senior state ministers and IAS officers welcomed the students at GMDC on Sunday afternoon. Lunch was also served to the students before starting their onward journey to Rajkot and other districts.
Om Jani, a first year MBBS student, told that the bus arrangement till the border was done by the university hostel. He said the entire route was blocked as it took them about 10 hours to reach Bucharest airport from the Romanian border.
“We consider ourselves lucky that we were the safest among the Indian groups as we filled the forms quickly and were close to the boundary,” he said. Don’t be serious and if classes resume, they will miss their studies.
