Gupt Navratri 2022 of the month of Ashadh will start from 30th June.

Gupt Navratri 2022: Navratri comes four times in a year. Out of which two are main Navratri and two are Gupt Navratri. This time the second Gupt Navratri is being celebrated in Ashadh. Although still nine forms of Maa Durga are worshiped during the nine days of Navratri. Gupt Navratri falling in the month of Ashadh is special for the worshipers of Maa Durga. Goddess Durga and her incarnations are worshiped in secret. Hence the name Gupt Navratri. This year Gupt Navratri is starting from 30th June. The coming days will be dedicated to the goddess and her soul and seek blessings for strength and wisdom.

Gupt Navratri date 2022

Gupt Navratri will start from 20th June and will end on 8th July. During this nine incarnations of Goddess Durga will be worshipped. It is celebrated from Pratipada (first day) to Navami (ninth day) of Shukla Paksha in Ashadha; Month of the traditional Hindu calendar. It is one of the important festivals celebrated by Hindus with utmost devotion and enthusiasm.

Gupt Navratri Puja Program

In the holy days of Navratri, nine forms of the Goddess are worshipped. These are- Maa Shailputri, Brahmacharini, Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skandmata, Katyayani, Kalratri, Mahagauri and Siddhidatri. On the first day of Gupt Navratri, devotees worship Shailputri, an incarnation of Goddess Parvati.

The Gupt Navratri schedule is as follows:

Day 1: Pratipada: Shailputri Puja

Day 2: Dwitiya: Brahmacharini Puja

Day 3: Tritiya: Chandraghanta Puja

Day 4: Chaturthi: Kushmanda Puja

Day 5: Panchami: Skandmata Puja

Day 6: Shashthi: Katyani Puja

Some devotees also observe a fast during the 9-day Ashadha Gupt Navratri. Although it is not as important as the two main Navratras. Devotees will eat sattvik food once a day. During the Ashadha Gupta Navratri period, Hindu devotees chant mantras dedicated to Goddess Durga.

Gupt Navratri 2022 Kalash establishment Auspicious time

Gupt Navratri will start from the Pratipada date of the month of Ashadha. Pratipada date will be from 08.21 am on 29th June to 10.49 am on 30th June. The auspicious time of establishment will be from 05.26 am to 06.43 am on 30th June. The auspicious time of the afternoon is from 11:57 am to 12:53 am.

Nine incarnations of Maa Durga will be worshiped for nine days. White things and sweets made of cow’s ghee should be offered on the first day of Gupt Navratri. Offering cow’s ghee at the feet of the mother on this day brings happiness, peace and prosperity in the house.
