The petitioner in the Supreme Court said, “We need to stay all orders. (Including the order through which the survey was ordered).”

The court has given two days to the new commissioner to submit the Gyanvapi survey.

An official said the commission sought additional time from a local court to submit its report along with the videography survey of the Gyanvapi mosque complex in Varanasi, as it is yet to be compiled.

The court had earlier asked the commission to submit the report by Tuesday.

Hindu Sena moves Supreme Court seeking dismissal of petition against survey

Hindu Sena President, Vishnu Gupta on Tuesday filed an intervention application seeking direction to dismiss the petition filed by the Anjuman Intejamiya Masjid Management Committee, challenging the videographic survey of the Gyanvapi mosque complex, which houses the famous Kashi in Varanasi. It was adjacent to Vishwanath temple.

The application was mentioned today before a bench headed by advocate Barun Kumar Sinha, appearing for Hindu Sena, for hearing the application along with the main matter.

The bench asked the advocate to be present in the court during the hearing.

Last Friday, the Supreme Court had refused to pass an interim status quo order on the survey. The top court, however, agreed to consider listing the petition of a Muslim side against the survey.
