Umar Riaz, elder brother of popular Bigg Boss fame Asim Riaz, is a doctor by qualification and a model by profession. Umar is currently competing in the house of Bigg Boss 15. He rose to fame after continuously supporting his brother in Bigg Boss 13. She also took over Asim’s social media handle during the younger brother’s Bigg Boss journey.
Born and brought up in Jammu, Umar is born to Riyaz Ahmed Choudhary (Politician) and Shabnam Naaz. The fitness enthusiast gained popularity while his brother Asim competed in season 13 of the reality show Bigg Boss. Umar also has a sister, whose name is Mahvish Chowdhary.
After completing his schooling, he pursued MBBS from the Government Medical College, Jammu. He then started practicing as a Senior Doctor at Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Center in Mumbai.
Omar’s physique has made him quite popular on social media. His passion and interest in acting inspired him to make a career in it. Umar has so far appeared in a music video with actress Daljit Kaur and Bigg Boss 12 fame Saba Khan. While Umar has forayed into the world of entertainment, he continues to practice as a doctor.
On the personal front, Umar is rumored to be dating actress Sonal Vengurlekar, who is known for her roles in Yeh Teri Galiyan, Gupta Brothers and Yeh Hai Chahatein. Currently, in the Bigg Boss house, Umar is garnering attention for his chemistry with co-contestant Rashami Desai. She is one of the most voted contestants in Bigg Boss 15. Her brotherhood with Karan Kundrra has been in the news for the current season.
