In an intense effort to vaccinate people against the corona virus, Dr. Anil Patil and his team have ventured into remote areas of Maharashtra. The door-to-door vaccination campaign of Har Ghar Dastak is really tough, but these health workers are determined to vaccinate every single person. At present, the team is targeting remote villages located on the banks of river Narmada in Nandurbar district. The team travels on a boat ambulance on the Narmada river for several hours and docks at some predetermined point. After that, the team members trek for another 2-3 km to reach the remote villages with their dose of vaccine. Each vaccine campaign takes 2 to 3 days because the areas are so inaccessible that the team cannot return every evening for supplies.
